Start so far

Good day! Season 57 started and solid chunk of games played already. Quebec Meute and start to the new year has not been exactly what we hoped it would be. Naturally team and the roster has changed quite heavily from last year, but still enough talent left in the team that better was expected.

 

Might sound like we had a terrible start, but that is not the case completely, North-American division is tighest in who knows how long, all five teams between 21 and 15 points, so that explains Quebecs struggling start, other teams are simply playing better hockey than in the past, that is good for the league and good for the division, we can hopefully expect to see similar level of competition for rest of the year, but Quebec moving higher

 

Personally the start has been ok, 4+4 in 14 games is better than 3+3 for example, but looking at the bigger picture, I need to play on higher level. 22 minutes in penalties is one of the reasons why we have only 15 points as a team so far, cant take any extra penalties in todays VHL, can literally be the difference if you win or not.

 

But start is always start, plenty of hockey left!
