Shawn Brodeur came into the VHL as a 7th overall pick in a pretty deep draft and while he was drafted pretty high, it was pretty interesting considering how badly he struggled in the VHLM. In two VHLM Regular seasons, he won his fair share of games but that was in no part to him player well. He made some stops and made the stops he needed to make while his team almost out scored opponents. I wouldn't doubt it that his save percentage for the regular season was around .880 or something. Even in one playoffs, it had to have been around .870-.880 so he wasn't that good at all. That is until last seasons playoffs when he has a save percentage over .900 and his team won the Founders Cup. So far this season in the VHL Brodeur has a 2-4-1 record with a .914 save percentage and a 3.31 G.A.A with 1 shutout even. So he has improved immensely even after facing better players in the VHL.
