Team Mercs

With the roster being named last night, Team Mercenaries seem poised for a long World Cup. However, that is why we play the games. Although players like Xander Finn and Xaiver Laflamme have seen better days, they should help lead this young squad. I expect big things from Komarov and Jeff Gow while also expect Jack Shepherd to contribute. Newly drafted Launchpad McQuack should bring some nice depth to this team and hopefully this is the only time we see him on the Mercs team because the player has a lot of potential, look for him to be a nice contributor to the Mercs this season. Niko Bogdanovic was a no brainer for the defense line as he will be our workhorse. Ko Kane and Rayne despite their youth should bring decent offensive prowess while we have Bourdon who will be a nice two way force. Shawn Brodeur and Ike Arkander will split the starts in the beginning part of the tournament and whoever has the better stats will take the reigns in the medal rounds.

 

I would expect the lines to look like this:

 

Sergei Komarov - Xander Finn - Jeff Gow

Launchpad McQuack - Jack Shepherd - Xavier Laflamme

 

Niko Bogdanovic - Colton Rayne

Ko Kane - Mathieu Bourdon

Ike Arkander

I admit ill be using this tourny to kinda get an idea of what to expect season start.
