VHL happenings (Teams)

Season 56 in the VHL has been one to remember for some of the worst reasons in recent memory. However, I will not be talking about any of that because it has been talked about too much. Instead let's take a look at the actual season itself. The Quebec City Meute are tops in the North American Conference with 90 points and will most likely get a bye into the 2nd round of the playoffs. Calgary seems to have secured home ice advantage with 76 points so far while the Calgary Wranglers and the Seattle Bears are fighting it out for the 3rd and final playoff spot with 52 and 49 points each. It is not the most exciting of playoff battles but it is something right?

In the European Conference the Riga Reign also have 90 points which is tops in the Euro but the HC Davos Dynamo are hot on their tail with 86 points. The loser of this will have home ice advantage in the 1st round while the winner will advance to the 2nd round. Helsinki sits in 3rd place with 72 points which is nice but the Titans will have to settle for 3rd it seems unless they can make a nice run for the end of the season to catch either Riga or Davos.
