Here's some news as well

Steve Mason's agent Anton Thun says that the Philadelphia Flyers have no interest in negotiating a new contract and they are moving on.

"In all honesty, he would have hoped the Flyers would have been interested enough to enter into contract negotiations with him right now, but they didn’t, so you move on," Thun told Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer. "That’s business."

According to TSN's Conor McKenna, there is a deal in the works that could see Alex Galchenyuk and a 1st round pick ending up in Tampa Bay in exchange for Jonathan Drouin.

McKenna also points out that he is not a trade breaker.

Protect:

Zajac

Hall

Palmieri

Henrique

Cammalleri

Severson

Merrill

Moore

Schneider

Expose: Kincaid, Greene, Prout, Lovejoy, Smith-Pelly, Bennett, Josefson + all the scraps. Hope Las Vegas takes Andy Greene off the books. At 34 years old and $5 Million per season, he isn't worth it and that money can go to the youngsters who's contracts are coming up. Plus we have the #1 Overall pick...

lol why would a Vegas team who won't be competing for a cup any time soon select a 34 year old on a bad contract?

Vegas isn't taking bad contacts

They might select players with bad contracts if teams make them a trade to do so.

Oh shit, the Devils have the first pick? This might be a good time to start following more closely for me!

There is a differnce between taking a consistent 60 point guy from a team to try for a cup well giving up an unproven asset. To taking on a bad contract for no reason lol.

Even if the Forsberg trade was always a bad idea lol

It's not a bad contract though. Yes it's $5 Million and he isn't worth $5 Million but he is also not a horrible defensemen for that price (just a tad overpaid) and his contract runs up in 2 years anyways. A bad contract is something thats $5 Million per season but dragged out for 4+ more years.

I don't see them doing it and it's a bit of a wish and not a reality, but it could happen.

Yup hoping we draft Patrick and not Nico because Nico won't strive in our team with his size. We are already not a very big team

People forget though that Vegas will be plucking guys from various teams that have 650k contracts and are AHL calibre players that won't make it. They do have to take on salary here and there and anything sub $5 Million is doable.

Wait Andy Greene has a NTC which means hes protected lol so he cant be picked

He was asked to waive. More on that before the draft

I take that back Cammalleri should be unprotected. Greene would be protected. 4-4-1. Better to leave an often injured forward unprotected. Although I still think Zajac should be our captain

I honestly hope Vegas takes Beauchemin but they won't. Avs already said they aren't buying him out... unless they worked out a trade that Vegas agrees to take him he will be the 7th d ... a high priced one at that.
