The Rookie class this season is a strong one. With newly drafted players such as Fook Yu, Hudson Abbott, Shawn Gretzky and Aleksi Federov joining the league plus players who decided another year in the VHLM was the way to go such as John Locke, Fred Krigars, Roman Solokov and Motherfucker Sharpe, it seems it will be tough for Gretzky to win the ROY. So far, John Locke is leading the way with 12 goals and 7 assists for 19 points followed by Fred Krigars who has 5 goals and 11 assists for 16 points and then Solokov who has 7 goals and 8 assists for 15 points. That is a hard top 3 to crack for Shawn Gretzky who has just 5 goals and 2 assists for 7 points which ranks him 8th. It will be a tough climb but hopefully Gretzky can make it into the consideration at least as he has no supporting case outside of Pablo and he has won almost 54% of his faceoffs despite being a rookie.
