Claimed:Axelberry sees more rubber then a road

I could have and should have said that he sees more rubber then a two dollar hooker in Las Vegas but I think you the reader get the point. But lets get bluntly honest here. In seven starts this season Axelberry has faced 303 shots. Yes you read that correctly, 303 shots! that is a average of 44 shots a game if you round down to be nice. Only Gotze on the Bern Royals has faced more shots then him. Axelberry is making the most of a shitty situation in Oslo. How shitty is it? when the new GM came in he asked players flat out who wants to be moved because it will be a rebuilding season in Oslo. Axelberry nicely asked the GM if he thought that if he can get a good return for him then he would like to be dealt. So far it has not happened and telling by team needs it may never really happen. Axelberry may be stuck facing a barrage of puck game in and game out.

When you look at his stats you are shocked that he can even have any good stats. But he alone has lead the team to 2 wins, one of them was beating Ottawa the leagues top team while facing 61 shots that game. He holds a .908 save percentage which is mind blowing that with the amount of shots he faces it is shocking it's above .900. He maybe one of the only reasons that Oslo has a chance of making the playoffs. They won't win any games, but  they will make it because no team will be as bad as the Bern Royals which Axelberry's agent Robbie is the GM in Bern and he started the season claiming that he gave up. Plus Oslo obviously has the better goalie out of the two teams. Nothing against Gotze but he has a way to go if he wants to be a Axelberry.

Axelberry is also a top prospect for the S54 draft and determining just how good he plays for Oslo and just how good he makes them with his out of this world goaltending... some nights that is his stock might keep rising up and up. He won't go first overall because there is atleast one better goalie in the draft if not more depending on your teams view on players. But for a guy who till late last season never played a game of hockey let alone watched a game of hockey, Axelberry is actually doing alright in his first full season as a goalie. He maybe on a team with no hope, but he will keep making the best of his situation and keep trying his best of keeping the puck out of his net even though his team most nights don't give much help. The only thing he can hope for now that Oslo can work out a trade that they get a great return for him and ship him to a team in need. Till that time, Oslo fans at least have one great player to cheer for.
