Welcome to the new era of the Helsinki Titans franchise. One of the oldest teams in the VHL is getting a refreshed logo for the S53 season as they turn the page and look to get back to being a consistent playoff team. Also today I am here to announce the next generation of Helsinki Titans captains.

Titans Captain - Franchise Cornerstone @boubabi

Being named the youngest captain in the VHL is a huge honor and brings a lot of pressure with it. Franchise Cornerstone thrives on the pressure as he led the VHLM in scoring last season and was the 1st overall pick in the S52 VHL Entry Draft. All eyes will be on Cornerstone as the Titans go from a bottom feeder team to a Continental Cup contender. Titans leadership is in good hands, as Cornerstone has brought a new swagger to the Titans locker room.

Titans Alternate Captain - Theo Axelsson @solas

Traded from the Calgary Wranglers in the off-season where he was considered one of the younger guys on the team. Now Axelsson is apart of the Helsinki Titans and will be looked upon as a veteran on the young squad. Axelsson has spent the last two seasons on a Calgary team with insane expectations and has soaked up a lot of leadership qualities playing alongside some of the VHL's best players for the past two seasons. Axelsson brings a calm and confident demeanor to the Titans locker room and is a highly respected player within the organization and the league.

Titans Alternate Captain - Daryl Dortch @evrydayimbyfuglien

Another rookie on a squad jam packed with rookies, Daryl Dortch will rock an 'A' on his jersey this season. Dortch was drafted by the Titans a full season ago, but spent S52 in the VHLM learning and honing his craft, where he won a top two-way forward award this off-season, being recognized for his full ice game. The Titans are hoping Dortch will continue to play the way he did last season. Dortch plays on the edge and even though he's a rookie, has no problem making sure his voice is heard in the locker room.

Titans Alternate Captain - Astrid Moon @BMax

Astrid Moon may be a rookie goaltender in a league dominated by veteran elite goaltending talent, but he isn't letting his rookie status define his on-ice performance. Moon is the definition of the song 'Lose Yourself' by Eminem, he knows this is his one chance to prove himself in the VHL and it beings with Season 53 where he will look to prove any doubters wrong. He is a prolific locker room presence and has the teams best interests at heart all the time. He leads by example putting in extra training hours at the gym every week and is quickly becoming a role model on the Titans.

Wasn't that proposed a long time ago? Good job finally using it if so!
