With Bronson Faux deciding to stick with the team for at least another season, the team received a bit of help reaching the cap floor. Even with that though, it seems the team will still need to sign a few more players to make sure that they reach the cap floor. The team is currently looking to pick up some more picks for the rebuild, but it seems that the team will have to deal with going to slow path to return as one of the top teams in the European conference. Thankfully, the team has goaltending troubles solved for the next eight seasons with Iyla Kopralkov waiting for his VHLM dispersal draft. Kopralkov will join the Riga Reign in just a season and then hope to live up to the likes of Mike Szatkowski Jr. It’s going to be a challenge for Kopralkov, considering he comes from the same player agency that Steven Smyl did, but that’s not to say he won’t fail to compete. Other than that, there’s not going to be much for Riga to do for the next couple of seasons. It’s going to be rough. We’ll bounce back though.
