There are two zones, the VHLM version and the VHL version. *Anyone can join the VHL fantasy zone, only VHLMers can join the VHLM zone. So go on and jump into both to try and double your gains!* Most weeks both zones will only have 2 options for you. a) Pick 'em. You are given 4 games and you choose the winners of those 4 games. If you choose correctly and all 4 teams you chose are winners, you are awarded +1 TPE. b.) Predict the score. You are given 1 game and you must choose the winner and the final score. If you are right, you get awarded +3 TPE. Player store is open again. Use your newly earned contract money to improve your player or see yourself in the mag! Announcements A new PT for the S40 celebration was announced. It's a cool concept in that it's a team PT so everyone gets a chance to chip in and help earn some TPE. It's only available to members of VHL teams, so if you haven't been drafted you won't be eligible. It'll be great to see once it's done and we can learn more about the VHL's storied history. Deadline is later today, so if you're helping your team out, make sure you get your stuff in for the deadline. Keep an eye out on the job postings, recently there were two openings in the field of writing, one for grading and the other for the VHL mag. A job is a good way to contribute to the league and help keep the wheels spinning, on top of earning some extra TPE. The final round of the GFX Tourney is here. It's down to 3 artists; Boubabi, Frank and Mr. Baller. Check out the set-up and wait for the best of the best sigs to come down. There have been some rule changes that affect the VHLM. Some of the changes include all teams having a 50 TPE CPU back-up and some free agency adjustments. Check out the full announcment here. The VHL has their Instagram account up and running. Just for following with your account, you get +1 TPE. Simply follow them and then post in the thread. There's also a two PT opportunities you can take a look at in the thread. Good to see social media expanding for the league. Media Here are some media spots and Fan590s I was looking at I thought you guys might find to be funny or a good read. Edition 53 of On the Rise is out, the mag crew works really hard on it so make sure you check it out if you aren't. They seem to post a new edition on Monday, so read that in a hurry, then check out the new one in the next few days. New keeper David Blind shared with the league what to expect from this young prospect. His agent has a history of developing superstar players so keep an eye on this one Bobby Ricky is in trouble with the cops again. Catch all the details, and let us know if you think Ricky needs an intervention. These are all made by users and we think these are really well done and recommend you check them out and other submitted sigs on ideas on how to make your own better. New member Mook submitted this tripadelic piece of artwork. We like the background and the creativity and hope to see more from him. In the ever growing movement of Teddy the Cat taking over the VHL, Caillean submitted this piece featuring the new third jerseys of the Bern Royals. #Teddy4emoticon. Lots of other that are worth checking out in the graphics section. Games The Royals took it hard to the Blades beating them like a rented mule 7-3. The Red Wolves beat out the Outlaws in this shooting gallery that ended 6-5 for Moscow. You can check out all the games that were played in the S40 games section. VHLM Player Spotlight This week we had a quick chat with Nicklas Karlsson of the Bern Royals. A newer member we got his views on what he thought about the league and his future in it. As a new member of the VHLM, are you enjoying the level of competition in the league? Yeah everyone plays at a high level and there are some exceptional players in the VHLM so it's been interesting trying to play with and against them. It certainly makes gives me the motivation to improve and get to the level they are at. We saw you recently re-evaluated your practice ethics and have doubled your efforts. Why is that and do you think that'll take you to the next level in the league? I mean I've been working on my game steadily since I've joined but recently there was a Draft Ranking that was released and I'd slipped a bit in the standings as some new faces joined like my teammate Kingma but I've been doing some work even before that but it just took some time to show itself in my game. I don't think I'll be a 1st rounder or some star talent in the VHL any time soon but if you write me off it'll be at your own loss. Since we're a little past the half-way point of the season, how do you see your season as a player and a Royal ending? Do you think you guys are going to win the Cup? We have a good group of people here this year and it'll be sad to see everyone go their ways after the season but we'll go out with a bang. We've been playing well but we need to find that next level if we want to stay in the mix with the Storm and the Watchmen. I've got to know some of the guys really well like Jody and Jaime and Zoidberg so we'll probably keep in touch. I'm not making any predictions but we have the talent to win the Cup.
