  4. Has anyone ever seen Kelvin Benjamin and Tracy Chapman in the same room? If you’re like me, you probably sit around and wonder what Bill Belichick’s record is with the different Hoodie combinations. CBSSports.com has the answer. Always go with the Grey. The Good News: Peyton Manning reeled off his longest run of the season Sunday. The Bad News: It was for four yards. I’m with George. Joe Philbin and the Dolphins won Sunday. The victory was even more special as Philbin was coaching with a heavy heart after losing his father earlier in the week. The team gave their coach a celebratory Gatorade bath as the clock wound down. Philbin handled it like a man. The official, not so much. Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s thrown 6 touchdowns in both of his last two games. Yeah, I saw that coming. One of the Eagles didn’t even notice that Mark Sanchez had replaced Nick Foles. "Actually, I didn't even know Foles was out. Threw that bomb to Maclin and I turned around to congratulate [Foles] and it was Sanchez. I didn't even know [Foles] was out until then. I started looking for him, but he went in for X-rays." What’s interesting is that the player saying this is starting offensive left tackle, Jason Peters. Some people clamor for the touchdown ball toss. Others are surprised. Glitch in the Matrix. Sometimes they’re just toying with us. Pittsburgh’s kicker is named Blewitt. He missed a field goal Saturday and then stood next to Mr. Guy making the perfect message. Here’s all you need to know about the Dallas game last week: Jason Witten had two tackles. Witten is a tight end. I know the gloves help, but Odell Beckham, Jr - you're kind of ridiculous https://vine.co/v/OO0UHWvUBp1 Way to hang in there Georgia Fans…

  9. Marcio Greusinho - The First Interview Hello Marcio, thank you for joining us for this interview. You are still a very unknown player here in North America, so why don’t you tell us a bit about yourself? Hi and thank you Mark. Yes I am new here and I would like the people here to know me better, so I will tell you a bit about myself. I am German and my two Agents told me that I should go to North America and try to get a chance in the VHLM and maybe later in the VHL. So I pretty much did as they told me. How did your hockey career in Germany go so far? I wasn't the best player out there, I tried to show all my talent but it wasn't perfect all the time. Then I had some injuries and obviously that was a shitty situation for me. When I came back we were in the playoffs, but already down 3-1 in the series. We ended up losing that series and then my Agents came to me with their plans. And now I am here. Why have you decided to enter the VHLM instead of staying in Germany? In Germany the level of competition is too low. I needed some stronger opponents and new goals. I hope my mentor here in the VHL can help me enough because then I believe I could get a spot in the VHL in the future. I hope that was the right decision by me. How would you describe yourself as a player, what are your strengths and weaknesses, and which areas of your game are you planning to concentrate on in your future? I am more of a two-way center, I can do pretty much everything but nothing perfect. My goal is to show my two-way skills and I hope that the VHL teams will like it. After that I will work on all my weaknesses, for example my fighting! I know sometimes you have to go and fight to boost your team, so I will try to do everything my team asks of me. Is there any player you model your game after? In the NHL I liked Peter Forsberg so much. He is retired now but his play was really special in my opinion. What do you know about the VHL and the VHLM so far and are there any teams that you like more than others? I don't know many teams because i am really new to North America and in Germany I was more busy drinking beer and doing other things instead of staying up late at night to watch North American hockey. You got claimed by the Bratislava Watchmen last night, do you think this team is a good fit for you? Maybe. The good thing is that i can go back to Europe and that could help me a little bit. All in all I want to say thank you to the GM for believing in me and i will try to pay that back. What are your goals for this and next season in the VHLM? To help my team of course. Everything else isn’t important right now. Where do you see yourself going in the VHLM draft this off-season and maybe in the VHL-draft the year after that? We have so many talented young players so I can't see myself going in the Top-10! It would be really exciting though to be picked that early. Some people link you to failed players that have been in this league before, like Chris McZehrl. Why do you think you can be better than those guys? McZehrl played in another league as well, so maybe that was just too much for him. He is a legend in the SHL and I that he never really had the chance to succeed here. But I am new here and I will work hard to help my team as much as possible. Is there anything else you want to say to the people in the VHL? No, they just have to watch me in my first games, then they will know me. Thank you for your questions Mark!

  10. Goodbye Royals, Hello Opportunity As the trade deadline has come and gone, we saw the Bern Royals make two very high profile trades, unloading two of their star players, Jaime Hill and Jody 3 Moons. In return for the two, the Royals received Oslo's 3rd round pick in season 41 and their 2nd and 3rd round picks in season 42, and a first round pick in season 41 from Bratislava respectively. While this initially was seen as a drastic move by some in the league, as well as causing issues with 3 Moons due to administrative issues preventing him from playing four games, the uproar has largely died down. Bern General Manager Jaladolar has unfortunately faced some criticism because of these moves, both from 3 Moons and from others in the league who feel that he did not receive as fair of a return for Hill as he did for 3 Moons, while others have praised the trades as completely beneficial for all teams involved. We decided to speak with one of the players affected most by the trades now that emotions have cooled to get her thoughts on the trades, and the future of her career. Jaime Hill on GM Jaladolar and her own trade Jaime Hill on the Jody 3 Moons trade Jaime Hill on leaving behind line mate Nicklas Karlsson Word Count: 1030

  11. SEASON 41 ENTRY DRAFT BIG BOARD Alright, so I've been hired to conduct the Season 41 VHL Entry Draft rankings. Others before me have done a great job and I hope to bring the same sort of excitement and analysis into my weekly rankings. This first ranking includes the entire draft class as we have passed the trade deadline. As you can see we have four full rounds (kind of). Changes in ranks are from Kendrick's big board that was done a week or two ago. While this draft will by no means approach the quality of last year's historic draft, it is not without its value. Niklaus Mikaelson is poised to be the first goalie picked overall since the Season 35 Entry Draft in which HC Davos drafted Lennox Moher. The Seattle Bears will really have no choice but to select Mikaelson with their first pick. What will get interesting this is year however is that there may be some shake ups if Fedir Okranitz can make it into the first round. Other teams looking for goalie prospects may trade down to avoid taking him too high. This will really make predicting the first round tough. Many of the players in this draft will likely need another year of prep before the VHL. We should get a clearer picture of the picking order by the next edition.

I'm Jack, I'm 16, a high school junior, and I live in Orange County, California. I'm originally from Boston, so I'm a pats, B's and sox guy, but I follow the British Premier League in soccer and I support Arsenal F.C (hence why my player is from Islington). I like to read, go to the beach, and play beach volleyball for fun. I also occasionally shred the gnar. So yeah, that's me. Oh yeah, I really dig indie and alternative music. Old Artic Monkeys, Cage the Elehant, etc I'm known as AP or JHS on the SHL

    Harumpf Scratching His Head

In a season where Oskars Harumpf has been tearing up the VHLM in his quest for the most assists in league history, things may have just hit a snag. In 3 of his last 4 games, Harumpf has zero points. Granted one of those games he scored 4 points, but the other 3 he had a goose egg. This is concerning for multiple reasons. 1. It hurts Bratislava chances of winning the division and 2. It's not going to help him break the all-time assists record. Harumpf is somewhat confused at his recent performance because at no point earlier in the season has he had a stretch like this. He's always put up at least a point or two even in a bad game, evident by his 131 points in 58 games. Perhaps his minutes have been a bit off lately as he's come in under 18 minutes in numerous games recently and his average minutes per game is dropping fast. His quest for the assists crown may have been slowed by this recent stretch of games and he will have to pick up his play and stay on the ice for longer shifts if he wants to catch Adam Schultz's 145 assist number from S20.

    Karlsson stepping up

With the absence of Jody 3 Moons and Jaime Hill, Bern are turning to Nicklas Karlsson to lead the team as he steps up to the role of team captain with Kyle Kingma and Sam Teibert stepping in as alternates. Karlsson will be expected to swallow all of the minutes left behind by Jaime Hill on the blue line while Kingma and Teibert will be asked to fill in the massive amount of minutes left by 3 Moons. The new captain will be asked to be the defensive anchor as well as providing some much needed offense. Karlsson will be asked to step his game up as he will no longer have Hill as his partner on defense. It's a difficult task ahead of him for the final stretch of this season and we'll see if Karlsson can rise to the occasion this early in his career and lead a team in his rookie year. Can the new captain keep the Royals in the run for the last play off spot in the European conference? How will the team rally behind their new captains and develop chemistry with such enormous changes to the line up with only less than 20 games remaining in the season?

  37. Busy Trade Deadline For Bratislava A very busy trade deadline has just come to an end for the Bratislava Watchmen. The highly touted VHLM-team that has been good but not great so far this season decided that they needed some reinforcements if they want to be a prime contender for the Founder’s Cup this season. A total of four new players were brought in at the deadline, one through trade and three through waivers after the Watchmen had saved up their waiver priority all season, not claiming a single player. The first and biggest new acquisition was Jody 3 Moons from the rival (now probably ex-rival) Bern Royals, who came at the cost of Bratislava’s first round pick in the upcoming VHLM Dispersal Draft. There was some controversy surrounding 3 Moons arrival in Bratislava, but it seems like the issue has been resolved and 3 Moons is expected to add even more scoring power to the already deadly Watchmen offense that is headlined by Sachimo Zoidberg and Oskars Harumpf. The next addition to the team was Jax Barnstormer, a highly-talented rookie goalie that is expected to challenge the more experienced Soren Douffet for the starting spot right away. While Barnstormer was claimed on “big” waivers, the two German wingers Wolfgang Strauss and Marcio Greusinho came to the team through the smaller version of the waiver program, Strauss as a regular claim and Greusinho as a free claim. Mainz-born Wolfang Strauss is considered more of a safer project while the enigmatic Marcio Greusinho is a pure boom-or-bust guy, but as young players who won’t be draft-eligible until Season 42 they are expected to play more of a depth role during the Watchmen’s push for the cup.

    Is This For Real?

Before you read anything else, this is a complaint. I'm not perfect. I make mistakes. I sometimes make outbursts when I really shouldn't and I, more often than not, say things I really shouldn't say. Excel can vouch for that...or did he change his username? Whomever my updater is. However, that being said. I find the maturity level on this site to be disgusting. This is a nice place to hang out, and interact with people. I'm here because I think it's a fun place to be. But there are so many people here that just give this place such a bitter image. Banning people for garbage reasons, like honestly, I read through that thread, and it made me wanna leave this site forever. Please get it together and, maybe one day, you can have VHLM teams that don't only have one person who's active. Maybe one day people will come here and want to stay. I'm just saying, this site makes it really hard for me to want to stay.

  41. I am not Streetlight, or Hustles. Right now, in this thread, I am Sam Helberg, a 22 year old living in a small town (<800 people) in Minnesota. I apologize that this thread will be a bit more than just an introduction. I used to be a kid. Those times were great, because I didn't have to care about anything. Growing up, baseball was my favorite sport (still is). I used to watch the Minnesota Twins every chance I had. I enjoyed playing baseball even more, playing on a summer rec league every year from when I was young up to the 6th grade. I played for my school team from 7th grade to 10th grade. I wasn't that great, and that's part of the reason I stopped. That, and also I didn't want my parents to have to pay a $150 activity fee for me to be able to go to practices and get a single at-bat and a few innings in the field during games. I was always a (school) smart kid. I got A's all the time. I graduated 3rd in my class of ~120; tied for first was my best friend and my middle school crush. Some of my favorite times back then were riding the bus back to town (the school was in a city ~10 miles away) with the two of them. I wouldn't say I was unpopular during middle/high school, but I definitely wasn't part of the "popular" crowd, though I had some friends who were. From 7th-12th grade, I participated in something called Knowledge Bowl. It's a team competition for "nerds." Knowledge Bowl was awesome, and I was much better at it than I was at baseball. So much more stuff I typed out and considered posting, but I probably shouldn't. I'll try to just make a short version. Here's some stuff about me: -I've never had a girlfriend. I've never kissed a girl. I've never asked a girl out. I'm too scared to shit of rejection that I would never. It sucks. Plus I just become interested in girls that I am already friends with (or who I believe I am friends with), and "friendzone" excuse bullshit, etc. -One of those ladies in whom I had an interest is still someone who I like to talk to more than others about how I am and feelings and stuff like that. She's a good friend, but the ship has certainly sailed on anything more ever happening. And since I'm sure this thread will be more interesting if I somehow bring up nagger, during High School when I had a crush on this girl, I talked to nagger about it. -I graduated college last May. -During spring break, I went on a service trip with 28 other students. We rode a bus to a few cities, performing service projects at each stop, and growing to be good friends. On one particular night, I was feeling shitty, and then later that night I wasn't. In the time between my feelings changing, I told this group of people some things about myself that I had told only a couple people in my life (and some things that I'd never mentioned to anyone). There was a thing that actually happened before that as well, which was probably more important in my turnaround, but if you care to know, you can ask. I don't know if there is anyone reading this anyway. So that trip, I like to think, had a pretty big impact on me in ways that if you care about, you can ask me. -Nowadays, I'm living with my parents. I don't own a car. I work at Walmart (I just recently started; I'm hoping for 32 hours/week, because new associates can't work 40). -Yeah, I'm working at Walmart after graduating from college with a degree in accounting, magna cum laude honors, and ~$32,000 in student loans. I wouldn't care about working at Walmart so much if it weren't for the debt that I have. Part of me wishes I didn't go to college, because I don't care too much about having a great job, but I'd rather not have this debt. -I'm better than I used to be, emotionally. I don't feel as worthless as I used to, I like to think I'm becoming more open, and I'm looking forward to the future. There are things that I want to attain (for starters, I want to earn enough money to get a car, then hopefully get a better job and move out). I like to juggle. I'm decently good at juggling three balls, but I can't juggle four very well. Nor can I juggle clubs or fire or swords (I can juggle spoons, though!). I play League of Legends and am on the VHL way more than I should be.
